Current Issues:

Rebuilding of School

The Charter School will serve grades K through 5 and will be open to students in the following order of priority based on space availability:

* students living in Pensacola Beach and their siblings
* children of faculty and staff
* children of the Board of Directors
* Santa Rosa and Escambia County at large.

The Charter school will be a public school and will continue to receive funding from the State of Florida. However, as a charter school, PBES can raise additional fund from private donations, state and federal grants and other fund-raisers.

It is expected that PBES will follow the school calendar of Santa Rosa County where most of our students attend Middle School and High School. This will simplify scheduling issues that many families now have with kids attending schools in two different counties.
