                    Helpful Writing Tips:

*It is crucial that your child complete all writing assignments sent home.  Incomplete papers hinder your child's understanding of the writing components needed to successfully comprise an essay/assignment.
*Encourage your child to recheck and edit their compositions. Good conventions, including correct punctuation, spelling, and grammar, help to eliminate confusion and/or misunderstandings for the reader and they help the writer communicate their message clearly.
*Encourage your child to take pride in their penmanship. Their written papers are a reflection of their skills and work habits.

A Note from Ms Goff

My name is Susan Goff and I have taught school for nine years.  have an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am thrilled to be a part of Pensacola Beach Elementary School. I think we are the best school in the area.

I think Fourth Grade is the most fascinating grade in school. The students are filled with enthusiasm and imagination and they teach me something new everyday. That is why I love my job!

Throughout my years of teaching, I have become committed to the importance of parent involvement in a student's education. I believe that your child receives the best education when you and I work together as a team.

My educational philosophy is that learning should be a joyous experience. My goal is to provide your child with an enriched environment that will help him or her gain knowledge in the areas of language, reading, literature, science, math, social studies and writing. I strive to instill a lifelong love of learning in each of my students.
